Thanks! I was playing around with the way I hold the hook last night, and I usually hold it like a pencil, but when I hold it with the head pointing upward, it doesn't hurt as much.

I'm sure it's nice! I've never even thought about crocheting a blanket with a knitting yarn, only a wool blend, like the ripple in my photo. That's made with Plymouth Encore. The other 2 are made with Red Heart (tweed and supersaver, from left to right), which I wouldn't even think about knitting with.

ContiKnitter, go to Flickr and type search for babette afghan. There is a group on Flickr dedicated to this, but I can't remember the name. It's a beautiful blanket that was originally shown in pattern in Koigu. That's some money, I tell you what.
