I'm using Canon EOS 10D.

I have the happy hooker book and I've looked at this bag several times... especially since seeing your FO. I'd really like to make one, but I'm not sure I'm brave enough.

So far I've only made coasters and a few hats... just little objects. How "easy" did you find this to make? I'm tempted to just be adventurous and give it a try. Hmmm....

I think the only bit tricky about this pattern is getting used to the hhdc stitch and remembering to move your markers up as you decrease, otherwise it's pretty straight forward. For me, the toughest part of this project was lining the bag!

Since you've already had some crocheting experience, I'll say go ahead and try this! Remember to post your FO!

Oh boy! I bought the yarn for this today. I've already started it, then ripped it out, then started again, then ripped it out again. Trying to get the hook through the second loop when doing the hhdc is tricky! LOL

Not to mention that the handles alone for the bag cost $20 at Spotlight (our local craft store). I was shocked at that!! I might just make my own handles.

Haha yes, the hhdc really does take a while to get used to. Spotlight's also my local craft store so I hear you on the bag handles! I wasn't gonna spend $20 on them so I was contemplating buying old bags and ripping the handles out, then I came across Crafthings.com and bought my handles from them.

Lis, I was just reading your blog post and noticed that you linked to the tutorial on how to line the bag. So did you line the bag before you made the handle flaps?? Now that I've read it, it makes so much sense to do it that way - I've already made the handle flaps on mine but they are easily ripped back if doing the lining this way is easiest.
