Curlicue pattern
Has anyone made this http://www.oatcouture.com/patternpages/210Curlicue.html ?

If so, was it difficult or just time consuming?

I'm in love with the pattern and I found a modification on Grumperina's blog if the original proves too difficult, but I thought I'd get some more opinions.

I've never knit that pattern, but have you had experience with short row shaping? If so, I say go for it. I personally don't think short rows are difficult and I'd tackle that in a heartbeat.
