Lump in breast.

Ok so last Saturday I found a pea size lump in my right breast close to the areola I could see it sticking out from under the skin plain as day so I went to see my doc on Monday and you could no longer see it but she said she could feel it so she sent me to have a mammogram and an ultrasound and the said they could not see a thing.Yesterday I was getting out of the shower and there it was again I wish I knew what the heck was going on here,my last two cycles lasted 14 and 16 days and now this I am beginning to think I am loosing my mind so much so that I even took a picture of the lump so that I have proof it is there!!Has anybody had any similar experiance?

I've never had this experience but I'd insist that your doc check again. You want to make totally sure that you're alright in a situation like this. I hope everything is okay.

I have also never had this experience, but I agree with Kaydee. And don't be afraid to look for another doc if you don't get the results that you want from this one. It is very important to catch any possible problems early. I pray it is nothing, but you don't want to waste time with it if it isn't.

A friend of mine has lumps in her breasts. She had an ultrasound and mammogram, just like you, and everything is fine. Of course it is very important to have it checked, just to make sure. Don't feel shy to go see your doctor again if you have some concerns!

Yes, go back. Have them do a sonogram.... And if you are still concerned, get another opinion from another dr.

I have lump issues. So far, they're just cysts, but I get to go back for the squishing & ultrasound next month to make sure they're staying cysts. Sizing does seem to vary with my cycle.

Do you have the option to go to another radiologist? Since the first one couldn't find anything, you might want to try another one.

A year ago my doctor found a lump in my breast. She not only had me go for an ultrasound and mamogram, but she referred me to a breast specialist. It might be worth it to see if they could also refer you. Mine turned out to be a low lymph node, but it was good to know. I hope and pray all turns out well for you. It is a scary experience.

well when the did the exam I couldn't find it anymore either it is like it disapeared and then came back the radiologist said it could be a cyst I think I will wait for my next period (it should be here anytime)and see if it changes at all with my cycle then I will make another appointment.It seems that the closer I get to 30 the more my body is going haywire I can't wait for menopause!!jk

It could be hormone related. I would try staying away from caffeine and take vitamin E and C for the next month. This is what my obgyn always advised. Stay in touch with your doctor too.

My mom and I have the same thing happen all the time. The only problem was the "normal" lump wasnt so normal this time. She had to have her right breast removed due to cancer last September

She's okay, but now I always get them checked at the doc's multiple times because Im high risk and Im not playing games.
Def. go back to the doctor and if he says its nothing and you still think its something, get a second opinion. Its not worth your life
