pattern chart reading

Ok, I am still a beginner knitter and I consider myself some what adventurous. I would love to knit something with a chart so that I have a picture in the work you know but I have no clue how to read one. Is there anyone out there that can help me?

Yes, the site http://www.knittingdaily.com/ just had a quicky tutorial on chart reading. You sign up for access, but there's lots of IK patterns available, plus a lot of knitting tips.
