Debbie Bliss Cotton Cashmere substitution?
I would really like to knit up the Peapod Baby Set for a friend of mine who's expecting her first child. The pattern calls for Debbie Bliss Cotton Cashmere (85% cotton & 15% cashmere) and I'm wondering if I could get any recommendations on other yarns that might work well.

The gauge is listed as 22 sts & 30 rows = 4"in St st

I've seen that this particular yarn is discontinued and is still priced around $8 per ball. I'm also concerned about the wear and tear factor since this will be for a baby. I read this review and I think I'd like something that doesn't pill or surface blur.

Anything baby-friendly that could possibly be machine washable and work well with this adorable pattern?

EDIT: I just found some Moda Dea Baby Talk at AC Moore and I think it might work. Has anyone used this before?

The Moda Dea yarn is very good for baby things, as long as it has the right stitch definition for the lace pattern.

When I made that set I used KnitPicks Shine Worsted.

Thanks for the suggestion. If I use the Knit Picks yarn it will be more than half the cost for the entire set. Thanks again!
