I need help

I am working on a bear sweater and it says to do a cast off at the beginning of a knit row ,I know how to do that but it also says to do it at the beginning of a purl row and I don't know how to do that one. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it very much.

Amy has a video on casting off in purl. Basically, instead of knitting the stitches to cast off, you're purling them, there's really no difference.
