I posted the following message in my blog thread yesterday. For those of you who don't know me, I should tell you that my 12yo DS is a cancer survivor x 3. He is currently under treatment for a 2nd recurrence, and he's doing well thanks to the progress that has been made in the area of pediatric cancer research.

First of all, there is an organization called SuperSibs that was founded by a lady in the Chicagoland area named Melanie Goldish. They provide support and services to children whose siblings are going through cancer treatment. Our DD has been enrolled in this program for a couple of years now, and she really looks forward to the cards and letters she gets from them that encourage her and make her feel special.
Melanie is one of the 10 finalists in the Energizer Keep Going Hall of Fame. If she wins, it will gain SuperSibs a lot of exposure. All I need from you is to vote for Melanie at the Keep Going Hall of Fame web site. You can vote every day until Aug. 1.
Secondly, after seeing that several of our KHers have been included in the Pattern-a-Day Calendar, I thought that many of you might like to get one. So, I was thinking I might just capitalize on this and see if those of you who plan on ordering from Amazon.com would patronize my affiliate link with them. If you do, you will generate a small commission for me. When I set this affiliate account up, I promised to donate all proceeds to a charity that is of the utmost importance to us: CureSearch. They are the fundraising arm of the Children's Oncology Group, which pulls together research from facilities and oncologists throughout the world in their search for a cure for childhood cancer.
So, if you plan to order a Pattern-A-Day calendar, I would really appreciate it if you did so through my "other" blog @ DotMom's Knots - Calendars for a Cause. Just follow the product link I have there.
