Hat Decrease in 2 x 2 Rib
I am attempting to draw a chart to decrease 8 stitches every other row going from 64 to 8. I am having trouble decreasing in pattern. Does anyone have such a chart or know how to do this?

Send a message via Yahoo to suzeeq
1st dec row - k2, p2tog, k2, p2 - repeat

2nd dec row - k2, p1, k2, p2tog - repeat
3rd dec row - k2 tog, p1, k2, p1 - repeat
4th dec row - k1, p1, k2tog, p1 - repeat
in between each dec row, work the new ribbing pattern you've made

If you need to dec more sts, do a row k1, k2tog, p1, k2tog, etc - then k2 tog all the way around.

Thank you so much! I will try this. Pattern says to start with a purl so I will reverse the instructions you provided. Any chance you know of any free graph paper generators that will let me fill in a chart in Word? PDFs are not fillable.
Thanks again. I will let you know how it turns out.
