help choosing needle size
I just won 6 pairs of addi turbo circular needles from ebay...just wondering what sizes I should get. He only has 24 and 32 inches.

I'm definitely getting a 7 and 6 (both 24 inches). Since I'm a loose knitter, I don't think I'll have to get anything beyond a size 8 or 9.

I want to try to make socks using the magic loop method too...what size should I get for that?

For socks, anywhere between size 0 and size 2 is fine, but you'll need 32" for those. Just go for size 2,3,4,5,6, and 7. Those are all good staple sizes.

since you are a loose knitter, i'd get as many of the smaller needles as you can. i think it is reasonable for YOU, as a loose knitter, to use 0 for socks.

i would get all 6 in the 32" lengths. i loves me some magic loop!

so my final answer would be to get 0, 1, 2, 5, 6, 7 for your needle sizes. do let us know what you decide. this is exciting!

I already chose sizes

1) 2.5 for 32 inches
2) 3 for 24 inches, which is the same for the rest
3) 5
4) 6
5) 7
6) 9 --> just because I don't know what else to choose!

He didn't have a size 4 in 24 inches, and I already have a size 8. I would have chosen size 0 needles for the sock, but the smallest he had was 2.5.

I never thought of having other sizes for 32 inches..what could I use that length for? Because the only thing I think I'd be making using magic loop are socks

you can do hats with ML. anything in the round, really. and if you are knitting flat, back and forth, as if on straights, the length doesn't matter at all!

I kinda hate it when I have to pull the work through the needles on long circs, but I will consider buying 32's next time
