I reached the heel on the second sock (where I stopped on the first one), so they were at the same point, and then I knitted the 30 rows of the heel flap on the first one....................man did I have a tangle where the yarn coming from the outside and the yarn coming from the inside of the ball got wound around each other. I thought I was going to have to cut, but I finally got it straight. Not sure it's worth it to do two at once if they're not on the same needle, as in circulars ! We'll see how I feel about it when they're both finished ! I'm wishing I could think of something special to do on the back of the heel, just to set them apart, but my brain isn't volunteering anything !

I haven't been working on my socks lately because I have to knit a last minute baby blanket for my sister's expecting friend. Once I finish it or when I want to take a break, I will definitely work on my socks!! btw- I'm still on the cuff. :(

Well, you can tell I'm a sock newbie. I'm still on the cuff. I had to unknit quite a bit last night. I was going along happily knitting my ribbing of my cuff when I stopped to admire it. I slipped it over my fingers and kind of checked the stretch and noticed I had a little hole. Drat! I guess I made an unintentional yo along then way and then must have dropped a stitch because my ribbing was still working out even?!?!?!
It's going to be a few days until I'm ready to tackle the heel. Plus it was so beautiful out today I had to spend some time outside weeding so not much knitting got done.
I'd like to post a pic of my progress but so far I can't figure out how to attach a photo in my post like I've seen others do. Can anyone walk me through it or are there instructions somewhere on the site?

Thanks and looking forward to seeing what everyone else is working on.

Hi everyone! I'm working on my Sockapalooza socks right now. It is the Dublin Bay Sock pattern. It is such a nice easy pattern, but still pretty. I am using Cherry Blossom Fibers yarn. It is really great to work with - I highly recommend it!

Here is a fairly recent photo. I'm almost done the heel flap now.

I think I figured it out. I was hitting quick reply and getting no option for adding an attachment.

Anyway here's my cuff, if this works. . The pattern I'm following is one I got from my LYS with my yarn. It's a simple beginner sock. And I'll probably end up back there for help at some point (heel). It's a very relaxed, comfy place. And the owner has a beautiful cat named Pearl... or maybe it's Purl. I'm a sucker for a beautiful cat so I'll be going back regardless.

Very nice socks dotty & kristin, gives me something to persevere for!
