How many yards to make a throw/afgan?
Hi everyone,

Right now I have some yarn I was thinking of making a sweater with, but now I'm thinking that it might look better as a throw or afgan (sp?). I don't know how much more I would need though to make one. I know it probably depends on the pattern, but I was thinking of just using the stitch pattern from My-So-Called-Scarf (I think that's the one, it looks neat, there's a stitch pattern at I'm planning on using "Nap" from Knit Picks ( would this even work? I just think it would be a nice bright throw or something....

Just look at basic afghan knitting patterns, to see how much yarn they call for.
