spring fresh pattern help doing this pattern have some problem with the gauge since this pattern are using 10mm needle.i dont have 10mm needle.the smallest needle that i have are 4.5mm and i still want to do this pattern and another problem is my yarn are very very thin.. my gauge with needle 4.5mm are 7st = 1". im kinda confuse with this pattern gauge. it said 8 sts + 16 rows = 4 (does this mean 8sts = 4" 16rows = 4"?) and how should i modify my gauge?

You need a larger needle and double your yarn or use thick yarn. 10mm is size 15 US. The gauge means you would be getting 2sts per inch, 4 rows per inch. You might be able to make with the yarn and needles you have (how thin is it, DK, worsted?) and double the number of stitches, but you'd have to knit a sample to see how that would work out.
