Noro Kujaku

Has anyone used this yarn? It is a 85% wool and 15% poly yarn from the ever incredible Noro collection, the wool is wrapped with a poly thread.

Curiously it was discontinued in 2006, which must be why I was able to purchase a HUGE stash of it on e-bay (30 skeins 25 in color #18 and 25 in color #5

).

NOW I don't know what to do with it!!! In searching the internet I have found some felted patterns with it but wondered how well it felts with the poly wrap. I'm thinking about a Lizard Ridge afghan but withonly the two colors not sure THAT would work.

ANy suggestions?

sorry, correction...... that would be 5 skein in color #18 and 25 in #5

You might lose a little of the wave definition with the bespeckled yarn for a lizard ridge. You could always knit a couple of repeats and see how you like it, though! OOOOOOOOOOOH, all very lovely. I'll have to check out the modular knits.

The butterfly cardigan is just LOVELY although I cannot imagine how they did that!!!!

I found the modular knitting book used on Amazon.com for $8.00 and ordered it :-)

looks just like an intarsia motif. she probably just used a ball from the opposite end to get it too standout
