Dobek1011 - I PM'd you, but I really think that the reason it popped so well was that I knit it at a fairly tight gauge and used a worsted weight cotton - the combination seemed to work very well. Great idea to send washcloths to your brother!!! and I'm sure he appreciates it (as we appreciate him!) Good luck. Chris
