Doll cardigan help

Hello,
I am knitting a doll cardigan from an issue of Creative Knitting and am having trouble with shaping the armholes.

Here is the pattern stitch:
Row 1 (WS): *P2, K2; rep from * to last 3 sts, end P3.
Row 2: *K2, P2; rep from * to last 3 sts, end K3.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for pat.

Shape armholes:
Bind off at beg of row [4 sts] 4 times, then keeping 1 st at each edge in St st, dec 1 st at each edge by k1, ssk, work to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1 [every RS row] 3 times (29 sts).
Work even in pat until back measures 5 1/4 inches from beg, ending with a WS row.

Having trouble understanding the directions in blue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

On the next 3 right-side rows, you're to decrease. They want you to do the decreases in one stitch, though, continuing to knit the first stitch on the right side and purl it on the wrong side.

So k1, ssk, work until there are 3 stitches left, k2tog, k1
on the next 3 right-side rows.
