Easy LB Slipper Pattern....Need Help!
This supposedly easy pattern from Lion Brand is driving me crazy. Right off I'm confused:

Main body of slipper: </B>(Make 2)
Cast On 10 (12, 16) stitches with A.. Lay anchor yarn.
Knit in Stockinette for 2 rows.
Next row:
You will extend the stitches to include the toe and foot.
Weave in Stockinette for a total of 22 (26,30) stitches.
Lay a new anchor yarn over the new stitches.
Hook over original stitches. The new stitches only have one loop and you canít hook them until the next row.
Knit in Stockinette for a total of 20 (24, 28) rows. (for wider feet, Knit additional rows. Each 2 rows will add approximately Ĺ inch to width.)

What the heck does "Lay a new anchor yarn over the new stitches.
Hook over original stitches. The new stitches only have one loop and you canít hook them until the next row." mean? Do they mean M1?????? And what about "hooking over the original stitches??????????????

That had me too, until I happened to look at the materials needed. A knitting board? 6 tapestry needles?

Oh brother! Is that someone's sick joke calling the pattern "easy"????????????

That had me too, I just ignored it!

I guess that explains why no knitting needles are mentioned for the pattern!

Thanks!

Well, I made my own, basically Silver's Sock class but in same fabric. A tad small on DH's humongous feet, but comfy nonetheless. (They are for my uncle, not DH).

You could probably translate the pattern to needles.

CO 10 (12, 16) sts with A. Knit in Stockinette for 2 rows.
Next row:
Inc sts for a total of 22 (26,30) stitches. [or inc 11(13,15) at the beginning of the next 2 rows]
Knit in Stockinette for a total of 20 (24, 28) rows. (for wider feet, Knit additional rows. Each 2 rows will add approximately Ĺ inch to width.)

And follow the rest of the directions in like manner. Or not, depends if you think you'd like to try.

I'm writing down what I'm doing so I'll know exactly what to do again later. I'm not 100% happy with the first one, now I'm making a 2nd one for my cousin.
