I just finished "She's Come Undone" by Wally Lamb. It was funny and touching. I recommend it. Oprah does too as it is in her book club. As if that particularly matters. LOL.

I am starting a book called "The miracle Life of Edgar Mint" by Brady Udall. My father gives me books he thinks are worthy of reading and this is one of them. He has never steered me in the wrong direction yet.

I love Jodi Picoult's books! A few months ago I read "My Sister's Keeper", it was so good! The last one I read by her was "Harvesting the Heart", it was fun to read because its set in Boston so I knew all the places. I'm reading "Vanishing Acts" right now, I'm only about 75 pages or so in but its good so far. I really like her books.

I have more books than time to read, along with kniting!

I am currently reading:

"Middlesex" by Jeffrey Eugenides
"The Devil in the Junior League" by Linda Francis Lee

I have the following lined up in my nightstand to read:

"And the Ladies of the Club" by Helen Hooven Santmyer
"The Virgin Suicides" by Jeffrey Eugenides
"Family Tree" by Barbara Delinsky

There's more but I can't remember. All I know is it's going to take me forever as I usually only read when I am laying bed, which doesn't last long!

After that, I have Chris Moore's You Suck, A Love Story waiting. We got it signed by the author at a bookstore appearance months ago, and my beloved is pushing me to READ IT so that we can talk about it. It's a sequel to Bloodsucking Fiends. If you've never read Chris, oh, please do. All of his books are a laugh fest, some pull laughter from me on every page.

I have read all Chris Moore's books and the are funny.

Since I am a SAHer with no kids at home and belong to a book club I either have a book or knitting needles in my hands.

In the last couple months I finished Janet Evanovich's new Lean Mean Thirteen (she is a total pee your pants laugh out loud author) read the last Harry Potter book twice through, Mary Jane Clark's When Day Breaks,Ann Rule's new nonfiction book, Too Late to Say Goodbye, which is very sad, but very good, Danielle Steele's Bungalow 2, Jackie Collin's Drop Dead Beautiful, this was a bore and basically repeated other books, Fern Michael's The Marriage Game, and two or three others. I just received yesterday, Jeffrey Deaver's The Sleeping Doll, Madeleine Wickham's The Gate Crasher, and Tasmina Perry's Daddy's Girls.

I'm in the process of reading two books:

The Rainmaker by John Grisham. I've seen bits and pieces of the movie and thought it would be a great book to read.
It is.

The Sociopath Next Door by Martha Stout. I heard Bob and Sheri talk about it on their radio show back in 2005. I bought it then and read it. I'm rereading it now. The book is nonfiction. Its not about the sociopathic/psychopathic criminal but the man or woman in your neighborhood/city who has no conscience, no morals, no boundaries who stops at nothing to get what they want when they want it.

The Bone Woman by Clea Koff (again)

Such a good read. A bit out of the box, but I have sooo much respect for the author.

I just picked up "The Judas Strain" by James Rollins. I don't believe that I have read anything by him in the past... The next trip to Borders I want to pick up:
Here If You Need Me: A True Story- Kate Braestrup. She was interviewed on a Portland (ME) station and her life sounds fascinating

I just wanted to say how much I love this thread!

I have added about half a dozen books to my "to be read" list!

Thanks all and keep 'em coming.
