Basket Weave
I'm working on a baby blanket for my sister-in-law... the pattern (big bad baby blanket from Stitch & Bitch) calls for you to knit 53 and then purl 53 - here's my problem.... the yarn between those middle stitches is really loose. I've also had this problem in other basket weave patterns. Is there a trick to tighten this stitch up?

Thanks!

Try working the last K in block or first P of next block twisted. Same applies to cables for the K>P transition. (Or wrap P clockwise.) This shortens the length of the wrap.
