help for knitting gloves
Hello all
I am a new knitter and self taught.I am trying to make gloves(i am knitting for the first time with four needles) for my husband and did pretty good until the instructions said:
Join yarn at the base of little finger.Pick up and knit 1 st from CO st at base of little finger.

Can somebody please explain how should i join yarn. Do the steps of picking the stitches and joining the yarn happen at the same time.

thanks

When I made gloves, that's what I did. I just left a tail and started picking up the stitches. After establishing several stitches, you can pull it tight and then weave in the end when you're done.

Rachel is right, just start picking up the stitches where it says to, and that joins, or connects the yarn back to the piece. Thing may seem a little loose at first but it will all turn out in the end.
