How do I adjust this pattern?
I would like to adjust this preemie hat and bootie pattern so that I can knit it up for a newborn baby instead. Would I increase the needle size?the yarn weight? Please help
Pattern:

I want to knit the version with the cute little flowers

We could learn a lot from crayons:some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names,
and all are different colors....
but they all exist very nicely in the same box.

The basic pattern has sizes for up to full term and then adaptations for the ones with the flowers. So cute!

Take a look at the original patterns that are on the page. You can see that you pretty much just co more stitches for a larger size.

For the booties it shows you co 41 for a full term baby and for the hat 70. Just do the seed stitch border and pop the flowers on.
