cast on stitches beginning of row - knit & purl

Is there a VIDEO link to show me how to cast on stitches at the beginning of the row? knitwise and purlwise. Words won't do it for me. I have to see (.) (.) it!

You don't have to cast on purlwise for the beginning of the purl row. You can do the cable or knitted cast on, then you purl back over them to get to the rest of your stitches.
