I need help on a problem i've been having!!!
OK! So I've been knitting for a while now and i just never really cared for this problem but now i need a solution to it.

So when i knit anything, I'm doing the knitting technique but why is the outcome look like i did a purl? I looked at the videos here and i'm doing what they are doing but i don't know why i get the purl!!

PLEASE HELP!!!!

THANK YOU!!!

Are you doing the same stitch all the time? If so you are creating garter stitch. If you knit one row and purl the next row, you'll get stockinette stitch which is what I think you want.

If you knit every row, you're knitting garter stitch, where every other row appears as a purl since the back of a knit is a purl and vice versa.

To get stockinette stitch, where all the knits are on one side and all the purls are on the other, you need to knit one row, purl one row all the way through.
