Blueberry scarf

I'd like to make the Blueberry Scarf from "the Little Box of Scarves" but I am a liitle stumped by one part of the directions:
Row 1: K1 (K1, K1tbl, K1) into next st,
Waht exactly does "into next stitch" mean? This pattern also is called "berry stitch".

You're knitting three stitches into the stitch. Knit into the stitch as normal, but don't slide it off, knit into the back loop and again don't slide it off, and then again into the front loop and slide it off. You'll have 3 stitches instead of one.
