From Pinwheel Blanket to Spiderman Web
Any thoughts on how I might alter the pattern to make a web instead for my Spiderman crazed 9-year old?

I'm supposin' I can work the round in solid red and stitch in the black web structure... Any thoughts?

Wow! Such great work! I have been eyeballing a circular baby blanket pattern for a year. I think it is this very one!
Seeing your lovely work...I am inspired to do more than WISH to do it! Next baby born in our church is getting this one!

Way to go! And thanks for taking time to post photos as well as the details! You are very organized and thoughtful!

here's the ruffled baby blocks all done!

Pattern: Ruffled Blocks Baby Blanket Yarn: Caron Simply Soft in Off White, 2 skeins. Caron Simply Soft in Soft Pink, 1.5 skeins.
Needles: Size 8
Alterations: I used a worsted yarn single-stranded rather than dk doubled. I did 4 less repeats of the 14 rows in pattern. For the ruffle, I also used worsted yarn single-stranded rather than dk singled - because of this, I only needed approx 168 ruffles.
Final measurments: 32" x 36"
Knit for: Peter & Sue's baby - Madeline Grace (born on October 28th)
Time spent knitting: On and off for 3 months - working on the blanket and ruffle simultaneously.
Changes Id make next time: I would keep my alterations in yarn weight. I would also add one or two more repeats width-wise to make it a little larger.

I've never knit this pattern, so I have NO idea if this would actually work... but could you work in drop stitches every fourth row, or something like that? Just a thought.
