? about the Pinwheel Baby Blanket
For those of you who have knit the pinwheel baby blanket - how much yarn did you use, to get a normal, baby-sized blanket? I have 4 skeins of Plymouth DreamBaby DK, about 730 yards total. I'm pretty sure that won't be enough, but I was wondering how much more to order. I know it will probably eat up yarn, once I get to the outer edge. I'm also not sure if DK weight yarn is the best choice, considering the baby I'm knitting for is due in January.... I may end up going with a worsted weight.

i used 5 skeins of Bernat Baby Boucle (204 yards each) on size 8's for mine. it ended up being 39" in diameter.

I'm using Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sport (doubled). I guess it will probably take 6 skeins this way (or at least that's how much I have and the blankie will end when the yarn does).
