buttonholes
I've been very frustrated trying to get some buttonholes done on a baby sweater. The pattern says to cast off two stitches on the first row. Then on the second row you're to cast on two stitches. My stitches look too close together and can't figure out how I'm supposed to cast them on. Do you turn your work the other way around and use the last knitted stitch or work into the following stitch?

You turn to the other side use knitted or cable cast on, then turn back and continue on.

Being it's a baby sweater, could you do eyelet bh (yo, k2tog)? No need to do anything on the return row.
