Recalculating gauge
When doublestranding yarn, how would the new gauge be calculated? For example, if you're working with a worsted weight yarn that has 20 sts per 4" as gauge, and now you double strand it, would it be 10 sts per 4"?

No, it's not half, I think someone wrote somewhere it's about .7 of the original gauge, so in your example it would be more like 14 sts/4"

Ah...that's sounds VERY familiar to me now that you mentioned it--thank you!!! I make notes on a "cheat sheet" I keep for knitting, but I didn't remember seeing that on my list. Thanks Sue!
