Question about the KP Options?
Can they be used as DPN's too?

Got a cool sock book today, want to order some yarn from KP and thought I'd try some needles while I'm at it

Thanks!

Well, I don't think you'd want to use them as DPNs although technically you might be able to it would be terribly awkward. If you want to knit socks you could use them to do magic loop or use two circular needles. Both methods have videos on this page.

If you truly want to use DPNs I suggested you buy the ones made for that. KP sells them or you can bamboo ones elsewhere like Michaels, too.

Thanks Jan!! I have some DPN (but no size 5) so I thought it would be killing 2 birds with one stone type thing. I'm going to order some anyway The book I bought has instructions on how to do it on 2 circs, maybe I'll try that!
