Parenthesis help!

I'm usually able to read patterns with multiple sizes, but this one has me perplexed! I don't understand Round 3. I'm knitting the second size. HELP!!

Round 1: [K4, k4togtbl, k3tog] to last 4 sts, k2, k2tog. 69[81, 87, 93, 99] sts rem.
Round 2: K all sts, decreasing 0[0, 0, 0, 3] stitches evenly spaced around. 69[81, 87, 93, 96]sts rem.
Round 3: [K2, (k1, p1, k1, p1) in next st] around. 138[162, 174, 186, 192] sts.
Round 4: [K6, turn, p4tog, turn, sl1] around. 69[81, 87, 93, 96]sts rem.

You're increasing in every other stitch.

K1, then all in the next stitch--k,p,k,p,--you'll have 4 instead of 1, then k1, kpkp in next stitch . . . all the way around.

It's for the bobbles.

knit, but don't slide it off, bring the yarn forward and purl into the same stitch, don't slide it off, knit again into it and purl again into it. Then slide it off. You'll turn and work those stitches again the next round.

Knit 2, then in the next st, k1,p1,k1,p1 - a triple inc I think. It's like kfb - knit into it, leave it on the needle, bring your yarn fwd, p into the st, yarn back, knit again, yarn fwd, p again.
