Quick Question
Hello!!
I just have a quick question about revising a pattern. I'm knitting a ribbed beanie and the pattern I have says it would be easily substitute a different rib. The pattern calls for K6,P2. And I want to do 2x2. So on the decreasing part of the pattern, do I knit 2 together on every 7th and 8th stitch?

"Next round:- *K6, K2tog; repeat from * to end.
Next round:- *K5, K2tog; repeat from * to end.
Next round:- *K4, K2tog; repeat from * to end.
Next round:- *K3, K2tog; repeat from * to end.
Next round:- *K2, K2tog; repeat from * to end.
Next round:- *K1, K2tog; repeat from * to end.
Next round:- *K2tog; repeat from * to end.
Next round:- K0(1) *K2tog; repeat from * to end.
Cut yarn and pull through last remaining 4(5)sts to tighten."

Thanks in advance!

It looks like they change to stockinette for the decrease section at the top of the hat, since no purls are mentioned. If you want to do that, then follow these decrease instructions.
