Question on decreases
Ok, I have a pattern which says to purl two stitches together through the back loop. I find this stitch nearly impossible, so my question is: if i slip two stitches knitwise, slip them purlwise back to the left needle and then purl them together, will that give the same result?

I think so. You should try it and see how it turns out.

I don't think so... maybe try a very thin needle or crochet hook to help you? If the way you described doesn't work, try it with slipping pwise first and then kwise going back, to twist them in the correct direction.
