Neater edges after a row has been knit?
Because of the wonderful people in this forum, I am now knitting a lengthwise scarf on circular needles. However, after casting on my 420 stitches and knitting two rows, I noticed that my original cast-on row is ridiculously uneven.

I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I was wondering if there was any way for me to neaten or tighten up these edges without starting over. I have that feeling that I'm going to have to start over regardless, but if there's a way for me to fix it without ripping out and casting on 420 freaking stitches again, I'd really appreciate that.

Thanks!

When you're finished, you could add a knit or crocheted edge. If you do it to the bind-off edge, as well, both edges will match.

Before you add an edging, try washing your scarf. That evens up stitches nicely.
