My bargain toy...
I got a new toy at the weekend, it cost me 1...

A Tomy hobby girl knitting machine!(not my picture but it's the same one)

I've not had any real desire to have a real knitting machine but when my nephew said someone had brought this one to his Scout bring and buy sale and he was saving it for me, well I could resist it! It's a nice little, simple one after all.

The yarn that was in the box is terrible though (and I use a lot of acrylic so it must be bad!)...but it's alright for practising with.

Does anyone else have anything like this? What do you knit on them?

That's so cute! I like looking at the toy sewing machines you can get too. You must show us what you make.

Sylvia - I'm not sure if you can even buy this one in the shops anymore. As it's second hand I don't know how old it is! The only info I can find on the Net about it is - http://reviews.ebay.com/Hobby-Girl-K...00000001389029 - which is where I got the pic from.

The one feministmama posted seems similar though

Nobones - That means I'll have to make something now! I did tie one of my practise pieces as a scarf on the dog ...but I didn't take a picture

Limey - Well it's alright for a quid but I'd be miffed if I'd bought it new! We'll call it the bargain of the month...I like to think I can get more bargains in the future!
