circular to flat?
If this has been asked before or is just a stupid question, please forgive me. I've got a pattern for a hat that I want to make but I don't know if I can find the DPNs needed (my local store doesn't sell them). Can I make it into a flat knitting pattern? Does it require any additional work?

Thanks in advance.

When you knit in the round, you're always knitting on the right side.

When you knit on straights, you work one row of the right side and one of the wrong side.

To change a pattern to flat, you'll need to reverse the wrong-side stitches from knit to purl and vice versa, and you'll have to reverse the order in which you knit them.

Also add a stitch at each end for seaming.
