Rowan is Too $$$!

Anyone know of I good replacement yarn for Rowan Big Wool? Something more expensive than Lion Thick and Quick but cheaper than the Rowan. Any ideas? I think the pattern calls for 15 and 17 needles.

Big Wool is so yummy

Not sure about a sub, but I do know that WEBS has several closeout colors of Big Wool for $7.99 a ball.

The gauge for Big Wool seems to be 8 stitches to 4". I am getting the same gauge, and in fact the same gauge is listed, for Filatura di Crosa "Super Soft", which is now on sale at Webs for $2.99 for a 50 gram ball.

I'll go check out the Super Soft at Web's. I know that I already like the price. Oh, I guess that I should said that I'm looking at the pattern for the turtleneck poncho in "Stitch N' Bitch".
