What's your favorite place to buy yarn online

I have a Michaels and a Hobby Lobby, neither of which seem to carry a very good selection of anything other than acrylic yarn. They do have some Lion Brand wool, but it mostly is acrylic stuff.

So please share some links to where you buy online.

Knitpicks and Etsy shops. I can get some lovely handspun hand dyed yarns on Etsy for about the same price I can purchase them at my LYS. And since I can use my paypal account at Etsy, all my Pinecone Research "earnings" go to support my habit, uh, I mean interest.

I've bought from Knit Picks and from Herschnerr's. Herschnerr's has varied selection. You'll find anything from Red Heart to Noro.

I've had very good experiences with both places.

I have also had a good experience with halcyonyarn.com. And for the most fun and the best experience try woolgirl.com. She has a fun blog, runs contests for yarn and packages her yarns in tissue paper with little gifts inside.

I have bought from Knitpicks.com and discountbrandnameyarn.com Knitpicks has excellent phone customer service if you are unable to get your selections to go through online, which a lot of people have a problem with. I actually prefer to talk to the knitpicks people on the phone, they helped me figure out how much sock yarn to order for a pair so I would have enough.
