I was looking over the pattern for the horseshoe pattern. On row 5 it says

yo, k3, sl1, k2tog, psso....

does that mean to pass the slipped stitch over the k2tog?

psso usually means to pass the slipped stitch over the last stitch knitted, so it looks like you understood that right. i think all the letters just make it look complicated. well, they do to me anyway. imo, it makes us knitters look super impressive to people who don't knit but have actually looked at a knitting pattern or two.
