he and i were chatting tonight in Yahoo (as we do every night he's at work when he's not on the phone with a customer) and i told him about my carpal tunnel flaring up and wondering if it was because of the size 11 needles i'm using for my shawl.... he thought it was a good idea and i asked him if he had any idea how difficult it was for me to do these for the first time... he said he hadn't a clue and i told him about keeping the needles untangled, the stitches from twisting (or slipping of the ends of the dpns)... here's his response (his name's Don):

Don: I'll just wait for an opportunity to try brain surgery or diffuse a nuclear device
