F.Y.I.: magic eraser wipes up Kool Aid and Wiltons
I had a small dyeing mishap this morning and grabbed my magic eraser because it was the closet thing to a sponge that was near me.
Well, it soaked up the Wiltons and left nothing on the counter. No stain! It worked on my skin as well.

Sounds good on the one hand but kinda scary in the other hand. What's *in* that stuff that makes it clean so good?

Good to know! There are Kool Aid spots all over my kitchen counter from my recent foray into dyeing, now I know how to get rid of them!

I searched the household products database and wikipedia and found these two links:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_eraser
http://hpd.nlm.nih.gov/cgi-bin/house...has=TblProduct

I wouldn't be concerned with the word formaldehyde in the chemical name since table salt includes two deadly chemicals on their own and water contains oxygen and hydrogen which are both flammable.

It seems to work just by being a really fine textured scouring pad and the msds on it is about as benign as I've ever seen one, just don't swallow it.
