mrs darcy cardigan

I have found the lovliest pattern for a cardigan at

i have managed up until armhole shaping now i'm confused (again!)

BO 4sts at beg of each of next 2 rows - fine
k2tog at beg of next 2 rows - fine
k2tog at beg of every other row for next 4 rows - wouldn't this make one armhole shaped and the other not??
then work in stst for 23 rows.

HELP!!!!!
