sock yarn for needlepoint
My dd just sent me a needlepoint book with lots of patterns that only call for 3 or 4 colors of yarn for each project. I am thinking about using solid sock yarn instead of standard needlepoint yarn. Has anyone tried this? What yarn would you suggest? Thanks for your help.

It works fine. HOWEVER...if your sock yarn is wool and isn't superwash, make sure you shrink it yourself before you use it.
