any tips for attaching button borders on cardigans?
Hi, I've just come back to knitting afte a fifteen year gap and am a bit daunted by a plain cardigans button band. The cardigan is looking very good and i am pleased with it but I don"t want a lumpy front border. Any tips out there? i would be most grateful.

Usually you can pick up 4 out of 5 stitches on the edges to keep the buttonband from being too long.
