Is anyone doing the Dolman Shrug shown in this month's edition of Creative Knitting. That is the pattern I am doing. This is tough but I've done the back all the way up to the neckline and now I'm doing the Lt front. Here is where I'm am very confused:
Cast on 20 stitches
Beginning with a knit row work 17 rows in St st, inc 1 st at front edge (end of RS row) every row, work 12 rows even.
Okay, do I start the increases with the very first row which is a knit row (RS)?...
the "every row" part confuses me...do they mean inc 1 at end of every knit (RS) row that I am doing or increase also at the end of a Purl (WS) row which would be the front edge of the piece. Confusing huh?
for instance do I:
1. k inc EOR (end of row)
2. p inc BOR
3. k inc EOR
4. p inc BOR ....and on and on....up to row 17
1. K inc EOR
3. K Inc EOR
5. K inc EOR .....and on and on....up to row 17
Which one do I do? Then it says to work 12 rows even....12 of each knit and purl or just plain 12 rows (of course with no shaping involved)?? I would appreciate advice from anyone who is very knowledgeable with patterns. This pattern i find is confusing.
