Need Help with Cable Pattern

I am knitting this cabled Christmas stocking http://pickinandthrowin.blogspot.com...-stocking.html for my grandson and need help with the pattern. This is the first time I've done cables and want to make sure I'm reading the pattern right...

Gusset: Row 2 - Work [ROW 2] of Leg Cable Pattern across needle #2

Row 2 of Leg Cable Pattern is a knit row, so do I knit Row 5 or Row 11 of leg cable pattern?

Row 2: Knit across needle #1. Work row 2 of Leg Cable Pattern across needle #2 (the 18 instep stitches). Knit across needle #3.

You just Knit, as row 2 of leg cable patt. stated. next do leg cable row 3. then 4, then 5. etc
The top Instep half is a continuation of the leg pattern, so the sequence will follow on from what was done on leg before the heel was knit. The underside sole half is continued in plain stocking stitch.

I must really really be dense, but I still cannot figure it out. The last "cable" row knitted for the "leg" was Leg Row 11. For "Gusset" Row 2, do I knit "Leg Row 5" or "Leg Row 11" on needle 2? If it is 5, then "Gusset" Row 3 - is that knitted as "Leg Row 11" on needle 2; then back to "Leg Row 5" for the next "Gusset Row" etc? What about the knit rows in between the cable rows? Sorry to be so dumb about this; I think someone needs to take these knitting needles away from me!!

Now I'm a bit confused.
As i see it, For the 18 St's on needle #2 only, you continue to follow the sequence of the leg pattern 1-12, if the last row you did was row 11, then next one is row 12, then back to 1,2,3,4,5, in order, needle 1 & 3 are stocking stitch with the gusset decreases.
or do you mean you have done cable crossing on row 11 and the next 5 knit rows? in that case, yes do row 5 cable cross row.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Now maybe I've got it. Sorry I confused you. The part about "crossing cables" is what made the light bulb go on!! I thought only rows 5 & 11 were the cable rows, not the entire 12 rows.....duh! And the last leg row I did was row 12 (not row 11, as I said it was, sorry). I think I have it now, at least on paper. Walked myself through the entire Gusset on paper, step by step, row by row, and I think it's gonna work!!! Thanks again for your help.
