can someone put this into plain english for me.
I still have a wee bit of trouble understanding some of the lingo in patterns. I find alot of differnet patterns in differnet books and so many different ways of saying it.

This is the blurb I have my mind stuck on....

Shape Sides: Inc 1 st each end of next and following 12th rows twice more.

Does this mean the next row increase at the begining and end? Plus the 12th row increase at the begining and end and follow that 2 more times?

If someone can clear this up for me, my headache might go away....

OK so you DO increase at beginning and end of the next row, *then the twelfth row after that do the increase one stitch at at both ends*, repeat twice from * to * twice.

The next row, yes, increase at beginning and end, but then I think you increase 12 rows after that -- if the next row is row 1, then you'd increase (at beginning and end) on row 13 (which is 12 rows later) and then row 25 (another 12 rows later).

Yes, just to reassure you:

You will increase at each end of rows
1
13
25.

So if you had, say, 100 stitches, just to pick a number, then you'd have
102 by the time you finished row 1
104 by the time you finished row 13
106 by the time you finished row 25.

This either made your headache completely vanish, or brought it back in spasms.
