beginners slippers
I'm trying to move on from scarves and am wondering if anyone knows a pattern for beginners (I really mean beginners) slippers that are not booties - the kind that just go over the foot and not over the ankle? I appreciate any help. Thanks, Carolyn

These are an easy favourite for many
or some other easy options.

The first I ever made came from an ancient issue of Workbasket, I think 1952.
Knit about 7" square in garter stitch.
Fold it so the garter rows go sideways.
Sew the cast-on edge to itself and the cast-off edge to itself.
Slip it onto your foot.
Honestly, it doesn't look like it could possibly work...but it does.
