You don't need a pattern, necessarily.
Choose two colors of the yarn you love, and knit a striped piece.
Ultra simple would be 2sts color A, 2 sts color B.

If you actually mean Fair Isle... fair isle is usually done in the round. You can strand on flat knitting, but you have to be careful how you do it I think..haven't done it except in the round myself.

If you are just doing stripes they can done horizontally or with intarsia where you wrap the yarn so there is no gap.
