KnitPicks Fixed Circular Sock-knitting sizes in 40 inch length....request ! DONE !
I've just sent an email to knitpicks with this request.....

"I would like to request and suggest that you offer your classic fixed circulars (in sock knitting sizes - 2mm,2.25mm,2.5mm,2.75mm,3mm,and 3.25mm) in a 40 inch length. "

Their email address is customerservice@knitpicks.com .

Please join me in requesting that KnitPicks add this length for us...........copy this and send them an email if you are also interested in them adding this length to their needle offerings. I believe that they specifically sought out wooden needles to stock due to customer requests, so perhaps we'll be pleasantly surprised with their response.

Personally, I like to do my magic loop socks on 47" or longer - I do them two at a time and any shorter than that makes it harder for me. Just my 2 cents.

I asked for that a year ago, and I keep hoping they will make some. It doesn't sound like it would be too hard, just to cut the cables a longer length. I do manage to make 2 socks at a time on a 32" but it's really hard, and the bottom of one of my 2.0 mm (size 0) has cracked due to the cable being pulled in the wrong direction (i.e. towards the tip of the needle) by too tight a loop.

Ooh, see now, this is good information to know.........

monzogary, you should email them with YOUR preference, and maybe they'll extend their line with SEVERAL new lengths !

And, Ariane, you should definitely email them and let them know what's happening with yours...........that lets them see that the longer length is actually a NEED, not just a desire ! Their customer service is excellent if you have a problem.........they replaced my first fixed circular when the needle/cable join point was too rough.
