If you know how to knit SOCKS.......here's you a Christmas ornament sized pattern....
Very loosely written, but if you knit socks already, you should 'get it'.

Micro-mini sockalicious.....(must have prior sock-knitting know-how)
These were knit over 20 stitches, from the cuff down, on a size 1 32 inch circular, magicloop method. I used sock yarn.
(No gauge.......whatever size they come out is right !)
Cast on 20 stitches, join for knitting in the round.
2 rounds garter for the cuff (tried ribbing; came out too big)
12 rounds stockinette for leg,
short-row heel using your favorite method
10 rounds stockinette for the foot,
then
toe----decrease 4 sts every other round, at the beginning and end of two needles, for the toe until there are 4 stitches each on front and back needle......then --k1,k2tog,k1-- on each needle, use tapestry needle to run the yarn tail through all the stitches (6 total) and cinch it closed.
(This pattern is offered freely with every effort made to insure success........that said, working with tiny things seems to be more difficult to me, so I take no responsibility for 'oopsies' !..............dotty...)

As the picture of your cat was loading, I just knew I was going to see those tiny socks on your kitty. Do you guess she/he would like a set for Christmas? They are so cute and would also be good to add as an embellishment on a childs' sweater perhaps. Thanks for the pattern. It's a great way to use up scrap yarn.

What a great idea to decorate the christmas tree and to use up those extra bits of left-over sock yarn!

Thank you all !
And, I thought making the regular sized ones was addictive..........this could go on.........and on...........and on.......and I meant to make some 'monstersocks' from all of my leftovers some day! But these things are so darned cute........AND I won't have to WASH them.......'cuz , only the TREE will WEAR them !
